"You Are Your Father's Daughter" is a book that guides women in learning how their relationships with men are impacted by their relationship with their father. The father relationship impacts every area of a woman's life. A woman's spirituality, emotional life, and sexuality are impacted by her relationship or lack of relationship with her father. There are many relationship problems whether at work, in intimate relationships or as a parent that are influenced by your relationship with your father. What I began to discover that even though I was a therapist, with numerous graduate degrees, I did not know how to respond to the heart of my daughters. Fathers are involved more than with their checkbook or just showing up to school or sports events. A father that takes time to know the heart of his little girl, be aware of her unique gifts and talents, and take time to learn the road to his daughter's heart.
